Alright, so far I don't really like the Factions PvE (and it's always been my favourite part!) but it has turned me on to PvP. I guess it's a bit of a lose-win situation.

On to my question!

I brought my Mesmer over from Tyria (haven't made a Canthan character) and I've only got as far as Vizunah Square - Foreign Quarter. After completing it I was taken to Dragon's Throat. I can't stand this place! I've tried it over ten times so far and have always failed. It's probably just my luck of the draw in getting into a good PUG. Anyway...I've officialy given up on this place. Do I have to do this mission? Can I go elsewhere. I've tried going south because I want to get to the Petrified Forest but Napui Quarter is closed. Can anyone tell me where to go? If I'm stuck in Dragon's Throat I think my future in Factions is doomed.

No you dont have to do Dragon's Throat to continue.
Try to talk to various NPC in towns. You usually get access to the next mission place thru some quest. Sorry I dont remember which one you need in this case.

There's a primary quest at Dragon's Throat outpost that will continue the story.
The Dragon's Throat challenge mission itself is nothing you'd be required to do.

Oh thank GOD! Maybe I should look around the towns I'm stuck in instead of spamming for a PUG. *Bows head in shame and goes to look around for said quest*

I think I found it. Talked to Messenger Gosuh he gave me the quest Finding the Oracle and it showed up in my primary quests section. Thanks for the help!

It's impossible to "win" Dragon's Throat. You keep killing until you run out of time or are wiped. It's a "Challenge Mission," there for bragging rights alone.

Get the primary quest and move along.
